Al Ajal

About the Project

The Al Ajal Project is located near the village of Al Ajal in the Taww area, close to the northern coast of Oman, approximately 65 km west of Muscat.
Preliminary exploration conducted by Alara has identified two promising target zones along favorable geological trends. What makes the Al Ajal prospect particularly significant is that it represents the only known mineral occurrence in the Oman mountains not linked to the region’s typical ophiolite volcanics—a unique geological distinction.
Although the prospect covers a relatively small area with challenging terrain, previous exploration campaigns have reported high gold grades, underscoring its potential for copper- and gold-bearing deposits. These results make Al Ajal a compelling candidate for further exploration and evaluation.

Exploration History and Current Status

Alara has conducted ground geophysical surveys over selected areas to validate the geophysical signatures of mineralization indicated by historical (non-JORC compliant) mineral estimates in the Al Ajal License Area.

A mining license application for Al Ajal, originally submitted in 2013, has since progressed through various Ministries in Oman. AHRL considers the granting of mining license clearance a key prerequisite for undertaking further exploration activities in the area.
